During SBC Summit 2026, Lisbon went completely off the rails, pulling us straight into the madness from day one.

The sheer volume of side events blew past all reasonable limits. Rooftops, private terraces, expo halls, sponsor parties – everything was happening at once, non-stop, with zero breaks for sleep. Our calendar turned into hardcore location-surfing: you sprint from one meetup to the next, greet dozens of people on the move, shake hundreds of hands, and struggle to remember if you’ve even had a cup of coffee today. The meetups were literally stepping on each other’s heels, making even a five-minute breather feel like a victory 🤙

The ultimate game-changer was how fast the city reboots your brain the second you step outside.

The absolute highlight was the ocean at night. Breaking away from packed rooms and endless talk straight to the dark Atlantic, stepping onto the chilled sand, and listening to the deep, thunderous roar of the surf – pure therapy. And during the day, watching surfers carve clean, effortless lines across the swell under the open sky was the best reminder to always keep your balance, no matter the chaos.

Lisbon itself kept delivering at every turn. We squeezed through impossibly narrow stone alleys in the old quarters where walls practically brushed our shoulders, emerged through the grand arch onto the Tagus promenade, and chilled on the stone ledge right above the water. Under a peach-colored sunset, ferries drifted toward the 25th of April Bridge, while intricate sand sculptures of sleeping animals rested on the shore nearby. Late into the night, we wandered under the shadows of the Sé Cathedral and Belém Tower, right before the city pulled us into a massive afterparty where the crowd melted into blue lasers and heavy bass.

Our legs are completely shot from the endless hills, our contacts list gained hundreds of new names, but it feels like we just paddled through the heaviest swell and caught the ride of the season.
