China is a country that never ceases to amaze, no matter how many times you visit. Our second trip to the Middle Kingdom turned out to be even more eventful, contrasting, and productive. Guangzhou welcomed the ScroogeFrog team with its signature cocktail: futuristic skyscrapers, the indescribable energy of an Asian metropolis, and the frantic pace at which the heart of the global tech industry beats.

This time, our main magnet was the PAGC 2026 conference. Events of this scale in Asia are always grandiose, and China once again did not disappoint. The exhibition was staggering in its scale: it’s the perfect ecosystem to step outside your usual view of the market.

We spent dozens of hours on quality networking, gathering fresh ideas in the hallways, and talking face-to-face with the people who are shaping the future of digital advertising right now.

The main drive of the business part was the speech by our CTO, Maksym. He took the stage with a powerful presentation: “Why Modern Digital Advertising Needs AI-Powered Antifraud Solutions.” Maksym broke down in detail why standard filters no longer work and exactly how custom neural networks help protect advertising budgets. The audience received the topic with massive interest – discussions continued long after the presentation.

But a business trip isn’t just about badges and booths. This time, we decided to truly immerse ourselves in the local vibe, and China opened up to us even deeper. We explored the authentic local cuisine (spicy, unusual, but insanely delicious!), walked the bustling streets, and managed to get some great rest. A massive highlight was our visit to the Exhibition of Guangdong history and culture: the realization of just how ancient and complex the culture behind these modern tech giants is literally gives you goosebumps.

And then, the journey home had a completely unexpected yet incredibly pleasant bonus in store for us – a layover in Egypt.

After the neon signs and high-speed trains of Guangzhou, it felt like we had stepped into a time machine. We took the time to catch our breath in a completely different atmosphere, enjoying the majesty of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, riding camels, and getting fully recharged for the productive work ahead.

But if you think our Asian adventures end here, think again. Let’s just say that two trips to China simply aren’t enough for us.
